Basenji Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Coco is a super sweet 8 year old 16lb Basenji mix who is in need of finding a new forever home. Her preference would be a home where she is an only dog, or with male dogs who are larger than her. She tends toward aggression toward female dogs in the same home, as is a typical Basenji trait. She also enjoys being around cats, often playing and sleeping with them. She keeps herself very clean, as she cleans herself just like cats do. She does well with older children, but can be fearful of the unpredictability of younger children. She loves to play stick or ball, and follows commands such as sit, shake. She comes when called. When she gets ... (Read More)excited or wants your attention, she makes cute yodeling sounds. She thrives on routine, and enjoys going on daily walks and runs. She is housetrained and sees her crate as a place of refuge & sleep. Unlike typical Basenjis, Coco is all the fun of a Basenji, yet has none of the destructive behavior of Basenjis. She is up to date on her shots & is healthy. (Less)

Basenji Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. The Basenji is a playful, charming, energetic breed. They make excellent family pets but do best with older children. Basenjis can live in an apartment but need lots of daily exercise and long walks. A Basenji likes to chew and should be given toys and attention or it will get into trouble. Basenjis do not do well with cats and other pets beside dogs.
