|Rescue Me ID: 14-10-20-00104Pogo (male)|
Pogo is a fun, bouncy (get it, Pogo?), little guy. He loves action and gets along with all the dogs he meets, likes kids but has not met a cat that we know of. He was recently neutered, so still working on his marking, but it is very manageable with belly bands and he would learn very quickly with crate training. This little guy loves adventure. If you would like to meet him, please fill out our online application at www.secondchancesalem.org . He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. His adoption fee is $150.00

|Rescue Me ID: 14-10-10-00640Rothgar (male)|
Say hello to this awesome guy! Rothgar is looking for a new home. His family has changed and his personality is not fit for a toddler that is now zooming around the house. Rothgar would do best in an adult only home. He has lived with a very mellow Brittany Spaniel mix, and 2 indoor kitties with no problems. He is house trained, leash trained and know all the basic verbal and non verbal commands. Rothgar gets along with other dogs with proper intro. He ignores them while on leash walks. Rothgar loves chew toys, and bones. However he gets gastric upset with WHEAT and SWEET POTATO food and treats. Rothgar would make a great running partner, or biking partner. He loves to run and can run VERY fast. Possibly a good Frisbee dog, he loves them, but will show his love by eating it if left out and unsupervised. Not destructive otherwise. He will alert to strangers and will make a wonderful companion for the right person or couple. Rothgar is miro-chipped and will be UTD on shots when adopted. This is a courtesy posting for Rothgar's owners, but I have spent some time with him and will participate in the adoption process to ensure the right home for Rothgar. If you have questions about Rothgar or would like to meet him please contact either Kimberly Thompson at CleanSlateRescue@gmail.com or Kevin Stolfo at email@example.com or 541-790-9016 Rothgar has spent quite some time in professional training due to some protective (food and territory) issues that he developed after moving into a much smaller house and yard and the birth of the family baby. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Basenji in Oregon|
Basenji Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. The Basenji is a playful, charming, energetic breed. They make excellent family pets but do best with older children. Basenjis can live in an apartment but need lots of daily exercise and long walks. A Basenji likes to chew and should be given toys and attention or it will get into trouble. Basenjis do not do well with cats and other pets beside dogs.
