Basenji Rescue Information: The Basenji is a playful, charming, energetic breed. They make excellent family pets but do best with older children. Basenjis can live in an apartment but need lots of daily exercise and long walks. A Basenji likes to chew and should be given toys and attention or it will get into trouble. Basenjis do not do well with cats and other pets beside dogs.
Basenji Trivia: Basenjis clean themselves like cats. Basenjis do not bark but they can yodel. Basenjis can easily climb over chain link fences. The running of a Basenji has been compared to the gait of a horse.
